My idea for a ranked point system.

With the new ranked system coming out, it got me thinking of how to improve ranked to make it the best it can be.
I understand that it takes more than a point system to make a good ranked mode. Im also at the mercy of what the players choose to do, But i think that combined with a lot of other good choices could make ranked farrrrr better than what we currently have.
The idea is to take the minimum of a players placement points and elim points for a single game instead of just adding them together to their total "ranked score".
e.g. if a player has 50 placement points in a game and 30 elim points. their total score goes up by 30 instead of 80.
I think for the most part it would discourage bush camping to unreal cuz you NEED elims and stupid keying cuz you NEED placement. anyone who doesn't prioritize both gains nothing.
it might also force players to consider where they drop because no amount of elims in the early game would cover the bus fare because you have to get deeper in the game to gain anything.
There's a lot more i would want to add but i don't want this to turn into an essay. LMK what y'all think.
